Recession following 2008 showed the dangers of depending upon just one source of income. What happens if someone suddenly gets laid off with only one stream of income? Economic conditions following 2008 have highlighted the need for many channels of earnings rather than depending too much upon one source.

With advancement in technology and internet, it has now become possible to explore and create many income generating activities online and offline.

We have heard about many easy online money making programs like Paid Emails, Paid Surveys, Data Entry Jobs, Ebay business, Forex etc. There are hundreds of many other programs which can be started online to make part or full time income.

In order to earn income from internet you need to find what suits your individual circumstances. These are your level of understanding, education, preferences and tastes. There is no single program on the internet which can be undertaken with some exceptions.

You need to explore what you can do and what you cannot do. You just need an idea. Unfortunately internet is such a huge place with so much of information that it is hard to get to the nitty gritty of information at one place. Pieces of information on any particular topic are spread all over the internet. You need to put them together.

The reality is that there are not many individual programs that can bring in enough income to most people. Need of the hour is to start many online activities in order to generate any respectable amount of money. And discard the ones which are not lucrative. You need to experiment till you get the right program. It might take some time.

Starting multiple income earning activities leaves one less vulnerable to uncertainties of just one source of earning. Rich people have become rich only by getting their incomes through multiple sources.

Economic uncertainties make it necessary to look at different money making activities and start a few of them, one at a time.

You just need ideas to start online. You need to put some effort into exploring and learning about ways to make money online. And there are hundreds of them as such. You should select the ones that you understand and believe that you can do.

The beauty with starting multiple income earning activities on the net is that if one of the activities goes dry, you will still have others to depend on.

Internet keeps on changing. New ideas and money making programs keep on coming up. If one scheme becomes obsolete, another can be taken up.

There are various ways of making money online if you are serious. It may seem to be daunting initially, but ultimately things get easier. The main thing is to remain steadfast and persistent. Success doesn't come in one day. Veterans have spent months and years to see a steady stream of income.

The other alternative is to pay a small amount on this type of information to those who have already done research and put together income earning ideas on the internet. This could save you innumerable amounts of time and give you enough to start with online.

Online data-entry programs are popular because they require absolutely no prior experience and they require little or no monetary investment after the initial membership fee. Plus you can spend as much or as little time as you want doing it and still make a good income. In most cases the membership fee will give you access to a members-only training area. That is what you're paying for--the training. You will learn how to use other sites and tools such as ClickBank, PayDotCom, Google AdSense, Blogs and Twitter (all free to join) to generate income.

Watch the intro video and read the info. All I can say is that when ever there’s a new social trend on the Internet, there is always a chance to make big money from it. Twitter is becoming huge right now, so this could be a great opportunity for you.

Diversify Your Income Online

The reason I’m making my first real blog entry about diversifying your income online is because it's something that anyone can benefit from, whether young or mature, married or single, employed, unemployed or retired. There is money to be made on the Internet and you don't need to be an expert to do it.

You've probably seen programs promoted online or on TV about how to become the next online millionaire. These programs tell you a lot about what they're not; "You will never have to recruit others, read e-mails for money, make phone calls..." and on and on. What’s frustrating for me is that they often do not tell you exactly what they are until after you pay the membership fee. And while many of these programs are legitimate and successful, who's to say it's something you want to do?

As I've searched for opportunities to earn extra money online I've noticed something that has helped me avoid getting sold into a program without knowing what I will have to do. What I noticed is that these programs almost always fall into the following categories:

• Home online data-entry
• Selling items on eBay
• Trading stocks online

At each of these types of opportunity some people have succeeded greatly and others have failed. The trick is to find a program that is legitimate and proven, and then follow that program.
In my next three entries I will give a brief, general description of each program type listed above, along with specific programs that I have found to be legit in my personal experience or research and that may help to diversify your income online.
