Even if the power company isn’t sending the Smiths a monthly check, the family is still saving $879.96 per year! This is very doable and it obviously adds up. Now, then, the question becomes how long does the renewable energy system take to pay for itself?

That, of course, depends on the price of the system. A few years ago some of us got used to seeing solar panel systems that cost between $4k and $6k. We thought to ourselves, “How nice it would be to have that kind of money now in order to save around $900 every year to come.” That would be worth it, right? Now, though, the technology has improved to the point where we can spend as little as $200 to build our own solar panel system, or sometimes less than $100 for a wind energy system. Selling On eBay | Diversify Part 2/3

Selling on eBay is something that I have been considering but do not yet have personal experience with, so I can't vouch for it's effectiveness. We've probably all heard reports of people making a lot of money from eBay auctions, though, so there must be something to it. Online data-entry programs are popular because they require absolutely no prior experience and they require little or no monetary investment after the initial membership fee. Plus you can spend as much or as little time as you want doing it and still make a good income. In most cases the membership fee will give you access to a members-only training area. Diversify Your Income Online

The reason I’m making my first real blog entry about diversifying your income online is because it's something that anyone can benefit from, whether young or mature, married or single, employed, unemployed or retired. There is money to be made on the Internet and you don't need to be an expert to do it.

You've probably seen programs promoted online or on TV about how to become the next online millionaire. These programs tell you a lot about what they're not; "You will never have to recruit others, read e-mails for money, make phone calls..." and on and on. What’s frustrating for me is that they often do not tell you exactly what they are until after you pay the membership fee. And while many of these programs are legitimate and successful, who's to say it's something you want to do?

As I've searched for opportunities to earn extra money online I've noticed something that has helped me avoid getting sold into a program without knowing what I will have to do. What I noticed is that these programs almost always fall into the following categories:

• Selling items on eBay
• Trading stocks online
